week six post three

This section was very very helpful, especially a study i found where it was shown that people who went out into the nature of CO and practiced meditation for three months were significantly happier than the rest of the people in the study who didn't. It shows that there is a link for sure on the benefits of wilderness on the mind, body, and soul. I will research more studies like this and I feel that I will be definitely including a lot about mindfulness in my thesis studies and my presentation. Meditation and focusing on the present moment is something that one does frequently in nature; I think these topics link up well.

Is it possible to rid oneself of mind-wandering to an extent that they spend less than half of their time focused on the present? It seems like I mind-wander unconsciously or if I tell myself to focus on the . present, I actually am not focusing solely on that because I'm thinking of me telling myself to o something. I will research this.
